    ATH-CKM 500i Defective Product

I purchased a pair upon recommendation of the brand from a friend. I was satisfied with the sound at first. However, shortly after two to three weeks the volume control and microphone box began to have issues functioning and in one month completely stopped working. At this point, I would have to unplug my earphones to talk on the phone when receiving calls. Because that was an annoyance, I had my headphones sent to be repaired, which I was then informed could not be repaired so I would get a new pair. I thought that the issue was probably just this one pair and continued to believe in the quality of your product. After receiving my new pair, once again for the first few weeks, the headphones worked perfectly. However yet again, the volume control and microphone box began to malfunction. However, I was still able to use the microphone to talk this time around so I didn't bother. Then shortly after, the sound began to sound strange when the wires would bounce around. Soon the right earpiece began to have moments where the volume would be very distorted and fluctuate. The left earpiece has since gone from fine to completely dead and is not longer working at all, leaving me with only the distorted sound of the right side. Would highly recommend not purchasing this specific pair of headphones, have not used other Audio-Technica products so I have no words for the quality of the others, but this specific product is certainly poorly designed as I have received two poor pairs in a row.
