  • Overview

This update of the AT-LP120-USB turntable features a new DC servo direct-drive motor, along with adjustable dynamic anti-skate control and selectable phono preamplifier. The fully manual turntable plays 33-1/3, 45, and 78 RPM records and is equipped with a USB output that allows direct connection to your computer. Just download the free Mac- and PC-compatible Audacity recording software (or software of your choice) and start converting your records to digital audio files. But in addition to the USB output, the turntable also comes with a detachable dual RCA output cable and is equipped with a built-in selectable phono preamp so you can connect directly to your home stereo, whether it has a dedicated phono input or not.

The turntable features an S-shaped tonearm with adjustable tracking force and an AT-HS6 universal ˝"-mount headshell with an AT-VM95E Dual Magnet™ phono cartridge. Audio-Technica has been a leader in phono cartridge design for more than 50 years, and that expertise shows in the versatile, high-performance AT-VM95E cartridge, which comes with a 0.3 x 0.7 mil elliptical stylus, but is also compatible with any VM95 Series replacement stylus, offering a wide choice of options for every budget and application.

Additional features include a die-cast aluminum platter with felt mat; a start/stop button; selectable high-accuracy quartz-controlled pitch lock and pitch change slider control with +/-8% or +/-16% adjustment ranges; a stroboscopic platter with speed indicator; a removable plug-type stylus target light; external power supply; and a removable hinged dust cover.

Available in black (AT-LP120XUSB-BK) and silver (AT-LP120XUSB-SV).

Just received the AT-LP120XUSB, and I love it. However, the cantilever is not aligned properly in the stylus housing, resulting in an imbalance in left/right channel output. How can I go about getting a replacement stylus without shipping the entire turntable back?

    Joe

Please contact our Parts Department at (330) 686-2600 ext 5002 or at parts@atus.com for assistance with this.

Can the stylus be upgraded. If so to what? The AT 120E?

    earth1st

Yes it may. You may find helpful information here: https://blog.audio-technica.com/audio-solutions-question-of-the-week-what-are-the-new-features-of-the-at-vm95-series-cartridges/

I have an AT-LP120 USB unit operating in the analog mode. Is there a way to add a ground wire from the turntable to the receiver to eliminate hum?

    Ed S.

Note, the AT-LP120-USB models do not have a ground lug, the newer AT-LP120xUSB models do have a ground lug.

    Brent

how do i download the free recording software?

    martin

You may use any software that allows an input signal from a USB digital input. Many people use the freeware Audacity which you may find helpful information on below. (Note, we do not manufacture software so we cannot assist in troubleshooting software issues.) Additionally, people often use the software Spin-It-Again for Windows or VinylStudio for Mac computers as they are designed for this application specifically and offer troubleshooting assistance when needed. https://blog.audio-technica.com/audio-solutions-question-of-the-week-how-do-i-record-music-from-my-a-t-usb-turntable-on-to-my-computer/

Is it suitable for voltage of 230 volts?

    chen

You may contact your local Audio-Technica offices for further assistance. http://www.audio-technica.com/world_map/

Does this -- and/or any of the other new A/T turntables announced/shown at CES 2019 -- including the automatic lift-arm, stop-turntable feature that the AT-LP2D did? (So, among other things, I can start digitizing, and walk away without worrying about being back in time to lift the arm up.)

    Daniel

The current fully automatic turntables are the AT-LP60x family of turntables and the AT-LP3 turntables.

    Brent

Does this turntable have a tonearm height adjustment (like the AT-LP120USB did)?

    Joe

    No it does not.

    Brent

Does this unit offer bluetooth capability? If not, do you have a turntable that does?

    james

No it does not. You may want to look at the AT-LP60xBT model turntables that do have an internal Bluetooth transmitter.

    Brent

Can you scratch with this one or do I need to wait for the AT-140 to come out?

    Christopher

The AT-LP140XP is designed for DJ use.

    Brent

I see a hinged lid in the photos of this product. Is this hinged lid removable?

Thank you for your inquiry. Yes it is.
