I would buy this product again.

Started putting my old Lps on my laptop. I needed a new turntable with USB. I decided to upgrade to AT-1240-USB pro model, glad I did.

    Superbly reliable!

This turntable has served me well for almost two years. I use it almost everyday to record my vinyl collection of several thousand records. What is most remarkable to me is how quiet it runs. With the ground connected to my external phono preamp, I get virtually no audible noise whatsoever. My recordings are crisp and clear. I am using an AT440Mlb cartridge which makes a huge difference. I did find out early on that the internal phono preamp would not deliver the sound I needed which was a disappointment and made me think I had made a mistake with this purchase. But after almost daily use I have no regrets as the performance has been consistently excellent.

Wish there was a hinged cover option so Audiophiles can close the cover while playing . Quality throughout . Thing weighs more than you would expect it too by just looking at it . Put a nice cartridge /stylus on and experience the quality of this turntable . I use the AT-vm540ml and its as good if not better than the Ortofon 2M Blue MM . YOU WILL NOT FIND A BETTER TURNTABLE FOR THE MONEY .

I recently moved and now one side (right) of my turntable has no output. I have tried a new stylus, swapped outputs (left to right) and even a different amplifier with no success The right side has not output. I have an audio-technical AT-LP1240-USB turntable. Any suggestions?

What is the range of the speed adjustment control in +/- rpm and +/- percent?

    Steve

The speed adjustments may be selectable +/- 10%, 20% or 50% by the speed range buttons.

    Brent

Is there a heavier counterweight available for this turntable?

    Lymbo

    No there is not.

Why no software like the non-xp turntable has? From the non-XP features: Mac- and PC-compatible Audacity software to create digital files from vinyl records

    Jim

The AT-LP1240-USB XP model is marketed towards DJs and while you may use any recording software to record your records into your computer, one is not included. You may find helpful information if you wanted to do so with a suggested software called Audacity here: https://blog.audio-technica.com/audio-solutions-question-of-the-week-how-do-i-record-music-from-my-a-t-usb-turntable-on-to-my-computer/

Hi- I just purchased the AT-LP1240-USB XP edition turntable. I have the tonearms height position set to the highest level that it will go. When I use the tonearm lift lever to raise the tonearm it still does not clear the record surface. I would think I would have plenty of clearance because I have it at the highest setting. I am using the cartridge that was provided with the turntable AT-XP5. Is there anything I can adjust or reset to get some additional height to the tonearm ? Is there a chance that something was not correct from the factory? Thank You, Chris

Is this product compatible with a stereo receiver with an analog phono input? If so, is it switchable to a computer for future use?

    Karen

Yes, you may plug into a PHONO input as well as any LINE level input. You may find helpful information here: https://blog.audio-technica.com/audio-solutions-question-of-the-week-what-does-the-phonoline-switch-mean-on-audio-technica-turntables/

My father has AT-PL120 and he doesn't use the SUN port. I would like to get him a led lamp for his turntable, I want to know if the USB port can be used to power the light thank you BGSJR

    JR

Thank you for your inquiry. No, this is for data transfer only.

Is there a difference between this turntable and the normal AT-LP1240-USB, other than the inclusion of a cartridge and matte-black finish?

    Luce

hank you for your inquiry. It does have a cartridge which can be used for casual listening as well as DJ use. There has also been a change to the finish. Other than these changes the turntable is the same.
