With its ergonomically molded earpiece and unobtrusive one-inch boom, Audio-Technica’s BP893 MicroEarset offers inconspicuous placement along with clear, natural vocal pickup. Its lightweight low-profile design makes the microphone ideal for use in theatrical performances, houses of worship and broadcast studios.

The BP893 MicroEarset is positioned unobtrusively over the ear. Its omnidirectional miniature condenser capsule offers outstanding pickup tailored for natural vocal reproduction, with audio reproduction similar to that of a high-quality lavalier microphone. The microphone is also ideal for use in violin pickup; wear the BP893 over the ear as usual, with no need for clamps on the violin.

  • Q & A

We have an ATW-T310b transmitter with pluggable lavalier microphone, also a T210a with the same socket. Would the BP893 be compatible with these transmitters ? If not, are there any headworn microphones which would ?

You may use any wireless microphone that ends in the code "cW" which indicates the cable properly terminates with the 4 pin HRS connection used on your Audio-Technica UniPak transmitter. An example is the BP893cW.

I'm looking at purchasing the BP893cW-TH through a dealer, but am first wondering if there is behind-the-head attachment that hooks over the opposite ear (the BP892cW-TH has this attachment included in its packaging). Thanks for your help!

No, the AT8464-TH is not included with the BP893cW-TH.

Unisteep Filter I just purchased a BP893cT4-TH. The instructions say "To engage the UniSteep® filter, use the end tip of a paperclip or other small pointed instrument to slide the switch toward the "bent" line." Where in the world is this switch located?

Thank you for your inquiry. The UniSteep function is only available on the wired version of the microphone and is located on the power module. Your microphone is for a wireless system and does not have a power module.

parts for bp893c i need parts for the connector. where can I get them

Thank you for your inquiry. Please contact our parts department at 330-686-2600 option 4. They can help with this.

BP893 - Vocalist / Singing I am looking for a headset to be used in a Theatrical setting but the actors also are singers. How does the BP893 rate for a vocalist?

Thank you for your inquiry. These sound very nice on vocals. They only issue could be feedback if the vocals are routed through stage monitors since the microphone is omni directional.

Does the BP893 fit an Audio-Technica ATW-T201 Battery Power Pack Transmitter?

Thank you for your inquiry. The BP893cW and BP893cW-TH will work with this system.

Audio-Technica BP893 I am an 70 year old violinist beginning to suffer hearing loss. I do not currently wear any hearing aids. To insure proper timing of my violin bowing it is imperative when playing with an orchestra that I not only hear my own instrument, merely inches from my left ear, but the whole orchestra around me. I find I often can not hear my own instrument. Is there such a device which will connect to,or be in proximity to my violin and amplify it (via a cord) to a speaker-device in my ear(s)?

Thank you for your inquiry. There may be, but I am not personally aware of any.

does this price include a receiver , or is that an extra $400.

Thank you for your inquiry. Please note the version you selected is a "Wired" version of this microphone and made to plug directly into a PA system. The wireless version is the BP893cW (see link) Please note that the prices on our web are MSRP and you will get a much better price at an Audio-Technica dealer. Also note that this is justthe microphone and you will need to purchase a wireless system.
