Wrt Pro 31qtr - Is the capsule acoustically isolated from the body of the microphone? Didn't see any clear reference regarding same in the specs or features. I'm interested in purchasing this product if the capsule is indeed acoustically isolated. Thank you for your help; Don Smith

Thank you for your inquiry. Yes, this is an internal shock mount.

I did not realize when I purchased the pro 31 QTR mic that it came with an xlr to 1/4 unbalanced cable. I have used it with an xlr to xlr cable and it works fine. Is it okay to do that? If the mixer board enables phantom power will it cause any problems with the mic?

    Dave E

Yes, most 1/4" inputs are LINE level rather than MIC level. Phantom power will not damage the microphone.

Where do you plug a pro 31QTR in a TV?

    Carlos

You may plug the microphone into a MIC level input.

What is the difference between the PRO 31 and the PRO 31QTR First, what does QTR stand for? How is the PRO 31QTR different from the PRO 31?

    WoodyAutumn

The PRO 31 and PRO 31QTR are the same microphone. The difference is in the type of cable provided with each. The PRO 31 comes with a standard balanced XLR female to XLR male microphone cable and is intended to be connected to the XLR Microphone input on the associated audio mixer, amplifier or recorder. The PRO 31QTR comes with an XLR female to one quarter (hence the QTR) inch plug cable. Since the output of the microphone is low Z, the plug needs to be connected to a quarter inch MICROPHONE input jack. Quarter inch MICROPHONE jacks are not very common on todays professional grade gear, but can still be found on some consumer grade gear.

Can I use this mic with my computer? i would like to use this mike for teleconferencing and podcasts. What extra equipment do I need to do that?

    123shamim

Thank you for your inquiry. First you need to make sure that you computer accepts a microphone level input in it's input jack (please note that most Macs accept only a line level input so I microphone will not work.) Secondly, you will probably need a 1/4 inch female to 3.5m male adapter.

Does this come with a cable or stand? One of the pictures shows both but I'm still not sure.

    Kenny

Thank you for your inquiry. It includes a 15.0' (4.5 m) cable with XLRF-type connector at microphone end, 1/4" connector at equipment end. It also includes a stand clamp, but does not include a stand.
