GREAT MIC.....cant say enough about it ! Love the sound!!!!

I play single acoustic gigs and was wanting a microphone that sounded more intimate, completely clear and true to what was being put into it. Man is this mic "THE ONE"! My vocals never sounded more natural. I absolutely love it!

    Fantastic microphone!

I owned this microphone for seven years before it got stolen on a gig (a new one is on its way). It was one of the few "perfect" instruments I´ve ever owned. For live use it has a clean, tight and sonorous sound that tops all my previous live microphones, including the KSM9 and KSM 105 by Shure and Neumann. This microphone is excellent for studio use as well and gives that touch of magic on vocals. Compared to my AT4060 it has a warmer, more intimate sound that I often prefer. The price tag might seem a bit high, but in reality you get much more than you pay for. Strongly recommended!

I've been using this microphone for about six months now, playing in a Country/Western band, as well as in a Blues/Rock band. I'm a baritone (chest voice) typically, but have a very high tenor head voice as well. This is an amazingly neutral microphone, except for a very slight bump in the upper mids, and a decent cut at about 5K. The bad: this mic is not forgiving. Whatever your vocal issues are, it will find them. It is also very sensitive to stage volume and feedback. The good: if you have a good voice (and control), you will sound better than you ever have! If you use IEMs, feedback is not an issue, and you can turn up the gain and catch every nuance of your performance. I have a small recording studio as well, and use this mic rather than any ribbon mic - it's that good!

I sing bass down to low C on the piano. Is this a good mic for the low tones? I also have a sub that I sing into.

Yes, the AE5400 is a popular choice for your application.

Is this a good mic for bass singers , is there or do you need a custom capsule for bass singers

Yes, the AE5400 is a popular choice for bass vocalists. It is the same element that is used in the popular AT4050 studio microphone.

This is the microphone used by the Valor bass singer Paul D. Kennamer?

Thank you for your inquiry. Yes it is, although I believe he may use the wireless version.

I'm interested in the ae5400 mic, I am very interested in the ae5400 mic, I would like it in a wireless configuration.. is that offered?

Thank you for your inquiry. Yes, this mic is available as wireless microphone with our 4000 series. The model of the system is the AEW-4250a.

Will this work with my existing equipment? Looking for a quality mike for Church service we have a CSI MW200H system. If not what type of transmitter will I need. interested in your AE5400 Cardioid Condenser Handheld Microphone

Thank you for your inquiry. This will not work with your system. This is a wired microphone. You will need the transmitter / microphone designed for your system.

AE5400 and others I am looking to upgrade my mic and some of yours look very good. The problem is I need to try it out somehow before I buy. I am a male ballad / swing singer with backing tracks so I am looking for excellent tonal qualities. It might be wired or wireless. Have you a room / facilities at Leeds where I can test various mics through a PA system. I could bring my PA along if that was acceptable. The retail shops do not have the choice to try before you buy. Hope you understand when parting with £500 / £600+ I need to know it is the best I can get for me. Hoping you can help.
