    With robust construction and unobtrusive appearance, the PRO 45 and PRO 45W offer versatile sound-reinforcement solutions for speech, theater, orchestra and choir sound reinforcement and recording. The microphones’ high-SPL handling is perfect for suspension over choirs and orchestras. Available in two colors: Black (PRO 45); white (PRO 45W).

        While the AT8438 was not designed to be used with the PRO45 microphone, it may be used to accomplish your task.

        There will be no performance difference as the PRO45 can operate on 9-52v.

        No, phantom power, needed for condenser microphones is only carried via an XLR connection.

      Though I'm sure it varies, what is minimum to typical distance that mic will pick up for a choir singing. Also how high over their heads should it be (like 4 feet)?

This is very hard to answer because it depends on many things such as the acoustics of the room, volume of those singing, background noise level, number of singers and number of mics being used.         Thank you for your inquiry. These are made to hang from the ceiling in a permanent installation. The do not connect to a mic stand.
