Is there a ceiling tile hanging kit for the pro45? if not, any suggestions

    Kevin

There is not one available from A-T and you may use any third party rubber grommet to hang from a ceiling.

    Brent

By any chance is there a stand that is compatible with this mic instead of running it through the ceiling?

    Kev

While the AT8438 was not designed to be used with the PRO45 microphone, it may be used to accomplish your task.

    ATUS_Specialist3

Can this microphone be mounted approx. 15 ft over a choir and still be effective? Ceiling is vaulted .

    Angel.

It is all relative to how the sound system is tuned, how loud the choir is singing, etc.

    ATUS_Specialist3

How does the Pro 45 compare to the U853R? What are the differences?

    Digitalman

Please contact our Audio Solutions Department at (330) 686-2600 ext 5000 or at audio-solutions@atus.com for assistance with this.

    ATUS_Specialist3

Is there any disadvantage to running this at 12 or 24v phantom power as opposed to 48v?

    G

There will be no performance difference as the PRO45 can operate on 9-52v.

    ATUS_Specialist3

Can the attached XLR type of connector be converted to a 1/4" mono phone plug?

    Pat

No, phantom power, needed for condenser microphones is only carried via an XLR connection.

    ATUS_Specialist3

Could you please recommend a stand alone Phantom Power Supply for this mic?

    mbteach

You may use the AT8801 phantom power supply. http://www.audio-technica.com/cms/electronics/0d3d28c38db578bb/index.html

I want to use this with a Bose L1 Compact system for an a Capella group, with the Bose L1 Compact behind the group, and the mic 2 feet in front of them and say 8 feet, pointing down at the group. Will I have feedback issues?

    Chris

Please contact our Audio Solutions Department at (330) 686-2600 ext 5000 or at audio-solutions@atus.com for assistance with this.

    ATUS_Specialist3

Though I'm sure it varies, what is minimum to typical distance that mic will pick up for a choir singing. Also how high over their heads should it be (like 4 feet)?

    Walt

Thank you for your inquiry. This is very hard to answer because it depends on many things such as the acoustics of the room, volume of those singing, background noise level, number of singers and number of mics being used. I suggest that you contact our Audio Solutions at 330-686-2600 ext 5000 with additional information.

Can I hang the mic with just its wire? Hi, Can I hang the mic from its wire only with a hook?

    Riddi

    Yes you can.
