  • Overview

With its low-profile design that mounts unobtrusively in tabletops for minimum visibility, the ES947/LED cardioid condenser boundary microphone provides clear, highly intelligible audio that is perfect for sound reinforcement, professional recording and teleconferencing, television and other demanding sound pickup applications.

Protected by a rugged all-metal case with a two-layer steel mesh grille, the microphone’s cardioid polar pattern affords a 120° pickup angle, while its UniGuard® RFI-shielding technology provides outstanding rejection of radio frequency interference (RFI). Users can easily toggle between mute and live audio thanks to the microphone’s capacitive-type touch-sensitive switch. An integral Red/Green LED ring indicates the mute status, staying green when the microphone is live and turning red when it is muted.

Additionally, the ES947/LED is equipped with a self-contained power module with an XLRM-type output connector, eliminating the need for an external power module.

The microphone is available in two colors: black (ES947/LED) and silver (ES947SV/LED). A pair of isolators is included for optional mechanical isolation from the mounting surface.

Hi, Is there a way to have this microphone unmuted when the system is turned on? When we turn on our audio equipment the mic comes on muted and we have to go manually unmute it. Thanks, Larry

    Larry

No there is not. You may use the ES947 microphone and the AT8657/LED mount which connects to a DSP processor and you may set paramiters in your DSP for when the system is powered on, a particular LED and mute state (in the DSP) is recalled when power up.

    Brent

Is there a Gooseneck equivalent to the ES947w/LED? I will be deploying 7 other ES947 mics but need a Gooseneck for the Head-of-the-Table position where a laptop or other device would block a regular ES947. Mounting off center-of-the-table to avoid blocking would not be preferred for the CEO positon on the table.

    Rick

You may use a standard gooseneck microphone such as the ES915 with the AT8657/LED mount which has the same look and similar features except offers a contact closure rather than a local mute switch. https://www.audio-technica.com/cms/windscreens_mounts/5b6d466a32dcfbee/index.html Please contact our Audio Solutions Department at (330) 686-2600 ext 5000 or at audio-solutions@atus.com for additional assistance with this.

The spec isn't clear, does the ES947/LED microphone come with everything I need, Mic,LED ring, button, assembly, etc? Or do I need to purchase the AT8657/LED microphone socket with logic (optional remote control) to make everything work?

    Nick Name

The ES947/LED is local muting only and has a standard 3 pin XLR output. To use logic and contact closure control, purchase the ES947 microphone and the AE8657/LED mount which will allow you plug the microphone into the socket and give you a standard 5 pin XLR output connection.

    ATUS_Specialist3

Is there a way for the mute to be controlled remotely? Say from a ClearOne 880T Mixer?

    Scott

Thank you for your inquiry. The mute function for local muting only.

To add to the previous answer, such a feature is possible using a combination of the ES947 and the AT8657/LED.
