    A great lav mic

This is a great mic. I use them for live theatre productions for kids and adults. Great sound quality. I also use them with mics that I rent out, and they are quite durable. Have been using these mics for over 30 years.

  • Q & A

Need to replace my lavalier mic only. I have an ATW-T1001 body pack. Will this mic work on that system?

You will want the MT830cW microphone to use with your ATW-T1001 transmitter.

Will this mic work with the ATW-T310b Uni-Pak transmitter?

Thank you for your inquiry. No, you need the MT830cW.

Can the MT830c be terminated to a standard 3 pin XLR to utilize 48v phantom power?

No. You will need to use an inline power module.

Is there a connector that is compatible with PT-40 wireless guitar system? I'm trying to use my wireless as a lapel mic for weddings. Can this be done?

Thank you for your inquiry. You may need a special build cable to connect the MT830c to the belt pack. Please contact our Service Department at (330)686-2600 ext 5004 or at about whether they can/will build a special cable.

Will this microphone work with a GoPro Hero 4 silver?

Please contact our Audio Solutions Department at (330) 686-2600 ext 5000 or at for assistance with this.

Is this microphone compatible with the AT8531 In-Line Powering Module?

The "c" at the end of the MT830c indicates the cable is unterminated. The MT830R utilizes the same TA3F connector to be used in conjunction with the AT8531 power module.

AT8542 Power Module If I add the appropriate connector to the MT830c, would this mic work with the AT8542 power module?

Thank you for your inquiry. The AT8538 is the power module that is sold with the "R" version of this mic. The AT8542 should work, but I have no idea how it would spec or sound.

Is the MT830c compatible with an older 700 series wireless system. I have an older 700 series wireless system with a lavalier mic.The power pack is a ATW-T701. The wire connection on the mic has gone bad and I need a replacement mic.In the description of the mt803 it states unterminated. What does that mean. Will this mic plug into my power pack and work?

Thank you for your inquiry. The MT830C is not terminated which means it does not have a connector attached (just bare wires). You need the MT830cW for your wireless system.
