Most users do not need a license to operate this wireless microphone system. Nevertheless, operating this microphone system without a license is subject to certain restrictions: the system may not cause harmful interference; it must operate at a low power level (not in excess of 50 milliwatts); and it has no protection from interference received from any other device. Purchasers should also be aware that the FCC is currently evaluating use of wireless microphone systems, and these rules are subject to change. I love the product and have purchased two other products fro

I was turned onto this product by a salesman and the product has been more than what i expected. The quality is more than comparable to my hard wired microphones. I love the mobility and the durability. I can say this product is road worthy and I know i will be purchasing another one soon. I recently purchased two wireless guitar systems and I also love them. The down and dirty is they are GREAT!

    excellent clarity and reliability

I am a piano player/vocalist in a catholic church and this wireless product allows me to play and sing with no wires to encumber me. The 700 series gives my voice clarity and reliability and without wires it gives a professional quality usually found in a wired microphone. Very pleased.

    Excellent Units - Excellent Price

I use a pair of these units with Lavalier Systems along with two Sony HVR-Z1U HD Cameras. They work flawlessly, very little setup needed and great audio. You might find some "carrier hiss" with voice if your levels aren't up to snuff and you need to boost in post. This would be my only complaint for the units.... But, at this price point you cannot go wrong.

  • Q & A

I have been using an Audio Technica Wireless Bodypack Transmitter Model #ATW T701 using Frequency 541-567 MHz. I need to replace it, but I think it's discontinued. What other transmitter can I use?

The 700 Series has been discontinued for some time and there are no replaceable components or other systems that may be used interchangeably. The only option would be to try and locate equipment online, possible used for the 700 Series or the Pro Series 5 wireless which were the same with different packaging. I would recommend as a replacement system that is comparable in price and features, the System 10 Stack-mount or the 2000 Series.

I have the 700 Series and was wondering if that product is compliant with the current FCC regulations (i.e. can we continue to use the 700 Series or do we need to upgrade to a newer model that is compliant with the latest FCC rules, if we need to upgrade - how urgent is the need to upgrade)? Thank you!

The 700 Series operates in between 542-561 MHz and is not affected by the recent FCC 600 MHz auctions. You may continue to the the 700 Series at this time.

What currently available headset Mic(s) will work with the 700 system?

Thank you for inquiry. The Pro 92cW, BP892cW, BP894cW, BP893cW, Pro8HEcW, ATM73cW and the ATM75cW will all work with this wireless system.

I have a spare atw-r700 receiver. What handheld transmitters will work with it?

The 700 Series has recently been discontinued and there are no direct replacements available that will work with your existing receiver. You may try and find a dealer who has some in stock or used online. Please contact our Audio Solutions Department at (330) 686-2600 ext 5000 or at for assistance with finding a replacement system that may best suit your needs.

I need another ATW-T701 to add to one I already own. what is the replacement unit that will work with it? an I use two transmitters with the ATW-R700

Please contact our Audio Solutions Department at (330) 686-2600 ext 5000 or at for assistance with this.

I currently own 3 Audio-Technica 700 series handheld wireless microphones and receivers. The units are almost 4 years old and the warranty is out. We really enjoy the microphones but they are starting to pop and static on occasions when we are singing at an event. I was wondering if audio-technica would maybe have some refurbished 700 series transmitters in stock? I would possibly be interested in purchasing some new handheld transmitters if they would be compatible with the current receivers I have.

Since the 700 Series has been discontinued, no product is any longer available. You may contact our Service Department at (330) 686-2600 ext 5002 or at for having your system serviced.

We have an ATW_T701 wireless mic. When we put new batteries in, the green light stays on now and won't mute or turn off when pushing the power button. The only way to turn it off is to remove the batteries. We have tried several different batteries. Any idea what is going on?

Please contact our Service Department at (330) 686-2600 ext 5004 or at for assistance with this.

Hi I'm (trying) to use the ATW-R700 with ATW-T701 transmitter with my bass guitar. But the sound i get is like i'm using a fuzz/distortian pedal - and no change at all by varying the adjustment - neither by turning the vol knob at the r700 (min/max) nor the inst adjustment from l to m at the T701 (i do have a clear sound by using my guitar cable).

Due to the number of troubleshooting possibilities, your best bet would be to contact us directly at

Is there any other Body pack that will work with the 700 Series receiver then the atw t701? if Yes, which one's

The ATW-T501 will also work with an R700 receiver, provided that one only uses one transmitter per receiver for simultaneous use. If you have any further questions, please contact the Audio-Technica United States (ATUS) Audio Solutions Team at: Thanks!

Will System 10 transmitter work with old ATW R700 system?

No, the System 10 Transmitter must be used in conjunction with the System 10 Receiver.
