  • Overview

Audio-Technica’s System 10 is a digital high-fidelity wireless system designed to provide performing musicians and presenters with advanced 24-bit operation, easy setup and clear, natural sound quality. Operating in the 2.4 GHz range, far from TV and DTV interference, System 10 offers extremely easy operation and instantaneous channel selection. Up to eight channels may be used together without any frequency coordination problems or group selection issues. System 10 receivers and transmitters offer an easy-to-read digital ID display.

System 10 wireless ensures clear communications by providing three levels of diversity assurance: frequency, time, and space. Frequency Diversity sends the signal on two dynamically allocated frequencies for interference-free communication. Time Diversity sends the signal in multiple time slots to maximize immunity to multipath interference. Finally, Space Diversity uses two antennas on each transmitter and receiver to maximize signal integrity.

Featuring stackable, contemporary styling, System 10 is available in multiple system configurations, with handheld vocal microphone/transmitters and cW-style body-pack transmitters designed for use with lavalier, headworn and instrument microphones as well as electric guitars. Each configuration includes the ATW-R1100 receiver and either a body-pack transmitter or handheld microphone/ transmitter. The ATW-R1100 is a digital receiver offering volume control along with AF Peak and Pair indicator lights.

    Great, just what I needed.

    5

I bought these to use for a variety of purposes, but mostly for speech. My wife is the one who primarily uses these and she is not a techie. I wanted microphones with clear signal that were very easy to set up and use. These have been exactly that. We travel with these and never know what the environment will be like. We have never had problems with poor signal or interference in the year we have had them. The lavaliers are a little delicate and we treat them as such so have never had any issues. If your treat your equipment with care it will serve you well.

    WIFI Trouble

    2

We have a least 10 UHF RF systems at our church. Thought we would get a System 10 to escape the crowded RF of our area. Worked with it almost a year now. The receiver is mounted 20 feet, line of site, from the speaking position - absolute best case set up! Sadly, The system Drops Out on an irregular basis, the only good thing is there is no audible click. This happens when anyone uses a Laptop or Ipad on the podium. A smart phone in a pocket of the person using the TX can cause the same problems. Even tried forcing other devices into 5.0Ghz ONLY. This did not help. Tried a friends System 10 and had same problems. I personally think the 2.4Ghz radio in TX is not powerful enough. Either way this system is not ready for professional applications. Sorry, love all your other products

    Great guitar wireless unit

    5

I really love this unit. I got it on sale for less than $300, serious bargain. The sound quality is outstanding, indistinguishable from cable. I had to have my first one replaced bc the faceplate fell off and in doing so, the two little wires that connect internal circuit board to the front antennas came off. Despite being very experienced in soldering and electronics, I couldn't reattach bc the connectors had broken. Luckily I had sprung for the $29 replacement warranty, and the process was painless and prompt. I wouldn't say the unit is 'flimsy', as it was a drop from about 6 feet, (and wasn't the first drop, but it isn't built like a 'tank' like Boss pedals.) It's is most likely expected to be in a rack (like mine is now). The sound is *excellent*, I would say that my range is about 60+ feet, which is more than adequate, and I'll tell you why... In reality, a 100+foot range is useless. I rarely go more than 30-40 ft away, so 60ft is plenty. THe reason 100+ foot ranges are useless is bc at 100 foot distance, you now have about a 90 millisecond delay between what you play and what you hear. The delay isn't from the unit, as radio waves travel at 3x10^ meters/sec (speed of light ;) ), no, the delay is from the sound waves getting to you from your speakers. Trying to play with that much lag/delay, you aren't going to be tight, and will easily lose timing with the band. Similar to the reason you need monitors on stage. And, if you are playing on a 100+ foot stage, you will probably be in a higher price range, lol. So, for the price, this is a fantastic unit. I would definitely buy it again. Battery life, Definitely opt for the Energizer "Advanced" Lithium. I did some careful tests, and they are the best price/playing time. Name brand Alkalines got me about 4 hours, the "Advanced" Lithium got me well over 20+ hours of play. So they are 3x the price, but easily 5-6x playing time. Don't go for the "Ultimate" Lithium, ther was very little, if any, additional play time.

    Sounds great but....

the quality of sound is very good, but the microphone is almost un usable. If it is not in a mic stand and is being held in the hand you can hear every little movement of the fingers and hands.

    Great sound

Lavalier model. Installed in small church, mic up front, receiver way in back. No interference, good signal, good sound. Lapel clip not as pictured. Wire spring on lapel clip that's supposed to hold mic lacks springiness, so just threaded wire through clip. Oh well. Set up easy, works great, good signal, no noise, no interference. Like the mute button feature on transmitter.

    Quality Wireless Mic

    5

The system has excellent quality and I have had no interference problems with it. I was getting a little extra white noise at one venue, but it ended up being an EQ issue that was resolved on the board. Otherwise, the system has served me well for both live music and DJ'ing weddings. Speeches sound just as good as live vocals over a 6 piece band. Looking to buy another system soon!

which lapelle microphone works with this unit?

    Scott

You may use any wireless microphone that ends in the code "cW" which indicates the cable properly terminates with the 4 pin HRS connection used on your Audio-Technica UniPak transmitter. An example is the AT831cW.

is the system 10 a True diversity or just diversity receiver? And are the antennas removable to extend Thanks

    DJ R3MIX

The System 10 has three levels of diversity; time, space, and frequency.

    ATUS_Specialist3

Hi folks, we are currently using your audio-technica System 10 set. We have been satisfied with quality of your product in terms of reliability and availability. My question is will our System 10 receiver both (a) pair/recognize and (b) work with generic or other brand 2.4 GHZ transmitters, as long as those products are 2.4GHZ industry standard compliant? I know you can add addition audio-technica transmitter products via pairing, but need to know if our system (currently using a p52357 body transmitter) is forced/limited to use ONLY audio-technica branded products due to some proprietary interface, implementation mechanism, or similar barrier? We are looking at either replacing or expanding our transmitters, and needed to know compatibility with Industry/Consensus standards since we have several immutable technical requirements that are not available from your current transmitter line. thank you for your help.

I have lost my microphone for a pro series 5. Can I buy just the compatible microphone?

    Jim

The Pro Series 5 has been recently discontinued and is no longer available. You may find some PRO-T501 UniPak transmitters or PRO-T502 Handheld transmitters out in the field, but there is again, nothing compatible with your existing PRO-R500 receiver any longer.

    ATUS_Specialist3

What is the microphone's pattern, it say it is "uni-polar" what is that?

    Frank

Uni-directional indicates the pickup pattern is one direction. The pickup is a standard Cardioid pickup pattern.

    ATUS_Specialist3

Is there a USB rechargeable hand held wireless mic that can work with System 10?

    Vijay

    Not at this time.
