With its interchangeable condenser elements, gooseneck lengths, and power modules, the ES925 modular gooseneck microphone system makes it easy to create a configuration that’s right for your meeting space.
The ES925 allows you to select from four microphone elements, each with a different polar pattern (MicroLine®, hypercardioid, cardioid, omnidirectional), six gooseneck lengths (4.85", 9.08", 12.08", 15.08", 18.08", 21.08") and four power modules (XLR, FM3, FM5, DS5) to construct your unique system.
The ES925/XLR features a 3-pin XLR power module that plugs into any standard XLRF-type connector or mounts to 5/8"-27 stands using the included quick-mount stand adapter. The 3-pin flush-mount power module that comes with the ES925/FM3 mounts unobtrusively in tabletops and includes a capacitive touch switch that enables local muting of the microphone.

But for those seeking control beyond simple muting of microphones by individual users, we offer the ES925/FM5 and ES925/DS5, which come with a 5-pin flush-mount power module and 5-pin desk stand power module, respectively. Both modules are equipped with a touch-sensitive user switch that, through an external contact closure, allows interaction with the DSP of another device. This functionality is commonly configured to let microphone users trigger a camera or lighting to maintain important visuals for remote meeting participants.

An alternative configuration might allow any user to initiate universal muting of all the microphones in a room – a helpful feature for group participation in an online meeting. When someone in the room presses their microphone’s user switch, the logic output of the FM5 or DS5 power module would establish contact with a computer’s DSP, which, in turn, would send logic input to all the microphones in the room, muting them all and switching their LED light to a color that indicates muting.
With the prevalence of online and hybrid meeting structures, today’s microphone systems need to do more than just capture audio. Triggering universal muting, a camera or special lighting are just some of the advanced control functions needed in many contemporary conference rooms – functions the FM5 and DS5 power modules are specially designed to deliver.
