INFOCOMM — Audio-Technica further expands its critically acclaimed Engineered Sound® range of microphones with the addition of the ES905/C Cardioid Condenser Rigid-Pipe Microphone, ES905/H Hypercardioid Condenser Rigid-Pipe Microphone, and ES905/ML MicroLine® Condenser Rigid-Pipe Microphone. All three models feature a rigid-pipe design with ball-in-socket base that permits flexible positioning and allows easy mounting to a podium, table, or desk with the included hardware. The three microphones build upon A-T’s popular and extensive Engineered Sound (ES) line of product and signal the company’s ongoing commitment to the needs of contractors and systems integrators. The ES905/C cardioid condenser rigid-pipe microphone has a cardioid polar pattern providing a 120° angle of acceptance with an extended frequency response of 30 – 20,000 Hz and includes a low-frequency roll-off (80 Hz, 12 dB/octave). The ES905/C has the ability to handle high SPLs (up to 138 dB, 1 kHz at 1% T.H.D) and a dynamic range of 109 dB without sacrificing high frequency performance. The ES905/H hypercardioid condenser rigid-pipe microphone features the same engineering specifications, but with a hypercardioid polar pattern providing a 100° angle of acceptance. Both microphones have a permanently attached 9.5' miniature low-noise cable connected to an in-line power module (included) containing the microphone electronics. The ES905/C and ES905/H plug directly into a 3-pin XLRM-type output connector that can be easily powered from any external 11V to 52V DC phantom power supply. The microphones come in a low-reflective black finish; each measures 16.78" (long) x 0.33" (head diameter) and weighs 10 oz. The ES905/ML MicroLine® condenser rigid-pipe microphone features a MicroLine polar pattern that provides a 90° angle of acceptance with an extended frequency response of 30 – 20,000 Hz and includes a low-frequency roll-off (80 Hz, 12 dB/octave). The ES905/ML has the ability to handle high SPLs (up to 133 dB, 1 kHz at 1% T.H.D) and a dynamic range of 107 dB without sacrificing high frequency performance. The mic also has a permanently attached 9.5' miniature low-noise cable connected to an in-line power module (included) containing the microphone electronics. It plugs directly into a 3-pin XLRM-type output connector that can be easily powered from any external 11V to 52V DC phantom power supply. The ES905/ML comes in low-reflective black finish, measures 21.47" (long) x 0.31" (head diameter), and weighs 10.4 oz. The ES905/C, ES905/H, and ES905ML are created to provide systems designers the utmost in versatility when choosing components for demanding applications such as boardrooms, schools, council chambers, courtrooms, and places of worship. The microphones are currently available with suggested retail prices as follows: ES905/C Cardioid Condenser Rigid-Pipe Microphone — $395.00 ES905/H Hypercardioid Condenser Rigid-Pipe Microphone — $395.00 ES905/ML MicroLine® Condenser Rigid-Pipe Microphone — $429.00 Celebrating over 40 years of audio excellence worldwide, Audio-Technica is a leading innovator in transducer technology, renowned for the design and manufacture of microphones, wireless microphones, headphones, mixers, and electronics for the audio industry.
