Audio Solutions QOTW: Why Is the Indicator Light on My AT2020USB-X Flashing When Connected to My Computer?

Question: Why is the indicator light on my AT2020USB-X flashing when connected to my computer?

Answer: The indicator light on the AT2020USB-X will begin flashing if there is a mismatch between sample rates in the playback and recording settings of the microphone. Setting both sample rates to the same value will result in the indicator light staying solidly lit. In this article we will demonstrate how to adjust this setting in Windows 10, Windows 11, and macOS.

For Windows 10

  1. After connecting the AT2020USB-X to the computer via the provided USB cable, click on the Start Menu and select Settings.
