Question: How do I replace the belt on the AT-SB727 portable turntable?
Answer: The AT-SB727 belt is installed and ready to go out of the box. If the belt becomes damaged or needs to be changed out, you can order a replacement belt through the Parts Department at parts@atus.com. To install the replacement belt, you must open up the AT-SB727. It is not a difficult process and the steps are laid out below.
- Remove the five screws on the rear of the AT-SB727.
- Carefully begin to lift the back of the casing.
- As you carefully and slowly open the unit, you will have two cables to disconnect. Carefully disconnect the cables by pulling them out.
- Once both cables are disconnected, continue carefully opening the unit.
- Carefully disconnect the tab from the front of the casing.
- Note how the belt is positioned around the platter and on the motor pulley.
- Remove the old belt and reinstall the replacement belt. Make certain the belt is properly riding in the grooves on the motor pulley and on the platter.
- To close the unit, follow steps 1–5 in reverse order. Make certain to carefully attach the cables prior to closing the unit.
