AT4060A
Features
AT4060a
the rebirth of an audio-technica classic
A true jewel of Audio-Technica in the 90s, reinvented by popular demand in the industry. The AT4060a is a large-diaphragm cardioid condenser tube microphone, designed for use in the most demanding studio applications. Each hand-selected tube is individually aged and tested, then employed in a uniquely configured circuit for enhanced tube performance. Specially tuned elements improve dynamic range and the allow the AT4060a to handle high SPLs (up to 150dB) without sacrificing high-frequency characteristics. A floating-construction mounting of the elements provides isolation from noise and vibration. The AT4060a operates in conjunction with the included tube microphone powering unit, featuring low-impedance output and a ground-lift switch.
- Patented "Double Wave" Dual-diaphragm capsule design maintains precise polar pattern definition across the full frequency range of the microphone
- Precision-machined, nickel-plated brass, acoustic element baffle provides enhanced element stability and optimal sensitivity
- Large coupling transformer provides superior low-frequency linearity
- Vintage tube sound with the versatile performance necessary for the most demanding studio applications
- Hand-selected tubes are individually tested and aged to maintain peak performance
- Regulated and heavily filtered heater current prevents noise contamination of audio signal chain
- Wide dynamic range, low self-noise and high max SPL capability
- The 2-micron-thick, vapor-deposited gold diaphragms undergo a five-step aging process so that the optimum characteristics achieved remain constant over years of use
- Product designed and manufactured in Japan
“Tubes carefully selected by hand”
Each hand-selected tube is individually aged and tested, then employed in a uniquely configured circuit for enhanced tube performance.
“high spl capacity”
Specially tuned elements improve dynamic range and the allow the AT4060a to handle high SPLs (up to 150dB) without sacrificing high-frequency characteristics.
“universal power”
The AT4060a operates in conjunction with the AT8560a tube microphone powering unit (included), featuring low-impedance output and a ground-lift switch to avoid ground loops.
"double wave" STRUCTURE
Patented membrane structure provides greater mechanical strength, better sensitivity and an optimal signal / noise ratio.
FLOATING MOUNTING
By mounting the capsule in a floating structure this provides excellent insulation against vibration and other structure-borne propagated noise.
SOVTEK 6922 tubes
Each hand-selected tube is individually aged and tested, then employed in a uniquely configured circuit for enhanced tube performance.
ACCESSORiES INCLUded
The AT4060a comes with its own specific AT8560a power supply, an AT8660a Rack Mount Kit, an AT8447 shock mount and an XLR6-XLR3 10m cable
