Esszz started streaming in 2016, she loves playing Trackmania, having fun, and being with her amazing community.

Can you tell us more about how you started streaming?

Gaming has always been a big part of my life; both my brother and dad have been gaming for as long as I can remember. The first game I can remember playing was Bob the Builder on PS1 - I can’t have been more than five years old. I have tried lots of different games throughout the years, but I racing/car games seem to be my thing. Now, I would say that my main games are Trackmania2020, Euro Truck Simulator, and CSGO even if I don’t stream all of them.

I stumbled on the concept of streaming one day, I didn’t know much about Twitch when I started but I've always loved entertaining people so it did make sense for me to start. I wanted to create a community that was open to everyone, accepting people for who they are – uniting people to have fun together!

Can you talk us through the first few years of your streaming experience?

I started Trackmania in 2014 after a friend of mine played it. If I’m honest, I remember that it was a big deal that I was a woman playing this style of game at the start. I don’t like to think about the first two years when I started to stream, as it wasn’t always a positive experience.

One of the first things that I can remember is that people told me that I would never be as good as the boys, just because I’m a girl. It never made sense to me and, in many ways, it also pushed me to be even better. Because of my gender, I have heard things that nobody should ever have to deal with. I did also meet super nice people, and I would say that the rough start made me who I am today.

After starting my stream a lot changed - I stopped competing, changed to the newer Trackmania, and started to focus on building a better, healthier community. Now when I play I am having so much fun with my community, and I hope we'll continue to grow and help each other for many more years.

After six years and thousands of streaming hours, what would you point out as your biggest accomplishments? How would you describe your journey?

So much has happened over the years! I had a charity event for diabetes research and was blown away by how everyone came together and helped. I'd say I am most proud of what my community and I have been building together and that I had the courage to start streaming in the first place.

It is not easy to start something new and expose yourself to the world. What advice would you give to the people who are about to start streaming?

Do what you think is fun and don’t take any sh*t from anyone! If people join your chat and start being negative, rude, or saying bad things, just remove them. Don't be afraid that it will make you lose a viewer. Your stream should make you feel good and be a happy place for you. It's not always easy to put yourself out there, but I am proud of myself for doing that.

Another thing is to start streaming with the equipment that you already have; you don’t need the fanciest or most expensive stuff to make good content.

Audio and video quality are one of the most important things for streamers. Can you share with us what your current setup looks like?

I pretty much use a webcam with a softbox and a green screen. My mic is actually starting to get a bit old so I think the next thing I may change is my mic (I know that Audio-Technica has some very good ones!).

My streaming setup:

Cam: Logitech C922

Mic: Bird UM1

Headset: ATH-M50x

Keyboard: Leopold FC980M

Mouse: Logitech G502 Hero

Gamepad: PS5

Monitors: 1 from AOC, 1 from BenQ & 1 from Samsung

And my computer of course.

We know you are using ATH-M50x headphones for a long time. What is the reason you stayed loyal to them all these years?

The sound is amazing! That is a good enough reason if you ask me. They are also very comfortable. When I am wearing glasses, they fit perfectly and never push my frames into my head, which many headphones can do.

Besides streaming you also have your clothing label – Esszz. What inspired you to start a clothing line?

I have been such a big fan of fashion since I was a kid; I loved to sew and create my things, but getting the clothing label wasn't easy – it felt right but also scary at the same time. Esszz is a unisex clothing label, the clothes are for everyone.

My dream was to create high-quality unisex clothing made in good condition at affordable prices. Because the brand is located in the EU, I made sure that all the clothes are made in the EU as well. It was important to me that was certain that the people sewing and producing the clothes were protected by EU legislation and were receiving a stable salary and benefits.

We are also pushing to be even more sustainable, and I hope this is the way the rest of the fashion industry will go as well.

What projects are you working on now and what can we expect in the future?

I have new ideas all the time, some may be good, and some may never see the light of day. But my main goal is to continue streaming and to grow my community, I actually have a big birthday streaming week coming up in just a few days! I’m also working on new products for my clothing line.

Keep an eye on my content because this is just the start!
